Monica Lee HernandezFillmore/Santa Paula, CAMonica(Monis) Lee Hernandez, 43 of Fillmore, California, passed away suddenly on October 25, 2017.Monica was born on October 10, 1974 in Santa Paula, where she grew up. She attended Santa Paula High School and graduated in 1992. She was married to Eddie Hernandez on December 14, 1996. She proved to be a wonderful example of a loving and devoted wife.She worked for Heritage Valley Eyecare for 17 years. She was well respected as a hard worker and known for her smile and the kind attention she gave to her patients.She loved watching sports and was an avid Lakers and Dodgers fan. Perhaps most will remember her love for the Green Bay Packers and her shouts of "Go Pack!". In recent years she found special joy watching her son grow in his love for sports as a member of the Fillmore Bears. When listening to music, she would not let an opportunity pass without singing loudly as a backup singer for her daughters, Karina and Victoria.Monica is survived by her husband Eddie Hernandez; father, Guadalupe Barron; sisters, Anita Arredondo and Beatrice Sibaja; daughters, Karina and Victoria; son, Jachob, and many loving nephews.Monica is preceded in death by her mother Amalia Barron and her brother, Ricardo Barron.The family of Monica Hernandez wishes to thank Dr. Mike Tushla and Dr. Warren Banta for the special attention they gave her during this past year. Additionally, a special thank you for the ICU unit at Community Memorial Hospital for their care, kindness, and diligence during Monica's final days with us.The recitation of the rosary will be held on Wednesday November 1, 2017 at 7:45 p.m. at St. Francis Of Assisi Catholic Church 1048 W. Ventura Street in Fillmore Ca. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 427 N. Oak Street in Santa Paula on Thursday November 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery.
