Mike Valverde Renteria, 78, a resident of Deming, NM entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital. Mike was born on September 29, 1938 in Janos, Chihuahua, Mexico to Melchor Renteria and Maria Valverde. He enjoyed music and he was always playing on his guitar at church, family gatherings and at gigs. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 53years, Gloria Renteria of Deming, NM; two sons, Michael Ray Renteria and his wife Rachael Valenzuela of Deming, NM and Joey Renteria of Albuquerque, NM; one daughter, Diana Marie Murff and her husband Charles of Austin, TX; four brothers, Manuel Renteria, Ernesto Renteria, Amado Renteria and Ruben Renteria; two sisters, Chona Lopez and Olivia Quintana; five grandchildren, Melina, Abraham, Nathan, Megan and Julian and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both of his parents; one brother, Ramon Renteria; two sisters, Maria Elena Pacheco and Maruca Rivera; one granddaughter, Larissa Renteria; and one great granddaughter, Faith Aleeya Ybarra. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 10am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Eddie Pacheco officiating. Inurnment will then follow at Mountain View cemetery.
