Michelle D. CampbellShoreview, MNFebruary 6, 1959 - July 18, 2017Michelle D. Campbell, 58, passed away on July 18, 2017 at home surrounded by loved ones in Shoreview, MN. She was born on February 6, 1959 in St. Cloud, MN to James and Adeline (Lemke) Campbell.A funeral service will be held at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 674 Johnson Pkwy. St. Paul, MN at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017. Visitation will be an hour before the funeral service. Burial and graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 23845 County Road 40, Albany, MN.Michelle grew up in Winona, MN and moved back to St. Cloud in 1974. She graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School in 1977. She began her college studies at St. Cloud State University and completed her Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies by graduating Summa Cum Laude from Bemidji State University in 1983.During her career, Michelle worked as a laboratory technician manager for Environmental Protection Laboratories and Jack Frost/Gold 'n' Plump Poultry in St. Cloud. In 1993, she began working for the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and was most recently the Laboratory Services Chemistry Section Manager. She was a member of the American Chemical Society and the Association of Official Analytical Chemists.Michelle is survived by her sister, Jody Quinn of Anchorage, AK; aunt and Godmother Ardella Kjelstad of Red Wing, MN; uncle Gary Campbell of Nova Scotia, Canada; cousins Wendy Kjelstad, Steve Kjelstad, Tammy Hinrichs, Daniel Sjurseth, Allen Sjurseth, Keith Sjurseth, Joel Lemke, Jamie Markle and Jody Boisen and their families; Godsons Lucas Mason and Aaron Dockendorf.Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, Adeline and James Campbell, aunt Allegra Sjurseth, uncle Erhard Lemke and many friends and family.Michelle will be especially missed by her close friends/caregivers Wendy Kjelstad, Tammy Hinrichs, Jean Dockendorf, Susan Mason, Ellen Detra, Sue Miller, Kelly Richards, Rachel Mason and Tessa Thelen. She will be fondly remembered as a generous and loyal friend.Her family and friends are especially grateful for the ministry and support of Pastor Brian Scoles and his wife Alaine.
