Payton, Michael N. Mike was a dearly loved father, grandfather, brother and companion. He passed away at home, at the age of 62 on June 22, 2016. Mike was born on July 11, 1953, to Wavil and Betty Payton in Mayfield, KY. The family moved to Wichita when Mike was 7. He lived the rest of his life in Wichita, the past 31 years working as a Purchasing Manager for Sigma Distributing. He was preceded in death by his parents as well a loving companion, Cynthia Caudell who also passed away on June 22, 2016. Mike is survived by one daughter, Kami Payton; grandchildren, Lylee and Colin of Bentonville, AR; brothers, Roger and Kenneth Payton; sister, Regina Lathrom, all of Wichita. Celebration of Life memorial service will be held for Mike and Cindy at 10 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016, at Faith Community Church, 1750 N. Gow, Wichita. Memorials established with Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita and Cancer Center of Kansas, 818 N. Emporia #403, Wichita.
