Michael Dwayne Morton was born December 16, 1982 to the late Shelia Diane Morton of Jackson, Tennessee.
He departed this earthly life on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Michael graduated from South Side High School, where he played football in Madison County. He accepted Christ in May of 1989 and joined Wingo Baptist Church in Trezevant, Tennessee, under the pastorship of his father/grandfather Pastor Joe Daniel Morton.
Michael began working with Capital City Resident Health Care in 2014, where he was a Program Coordinator.
He was preceded in death by his paternal mother Shelia Diane Morton, and his maternal grandmother Sis. Pauline Morton.
Michael will be sadly missed, but memories will be cherished by his adoptive mother Eula Jones; father/grandfather, Pastor Joe Daniel Morton; two brothers Kendall Morton (Shmica), and Roderick Binion (adopted); two sisters Latoya Binion-Weddle (adopted), Sherita Binion (adopted); one aunt, Patricia Morton; four uncles, Joe A. Morton, Phillip Morton, Tyrone Morton, and Raymond Morton; a very special friend Danyelle Johnson and children (all he helped raise), Kierria Harper, Mrtavious Cole, Keiosha Johnson, and Tytionnia Beasley. Four Nephews Kylan Bledsoe (adopted), Kendall Morton Jr., Kaevon Morton, and Kameron Morton. Very close cousins, Travis Morton, Phillip "Tojo" Morton, Courtney Morton, Antonio Morton (United States Navy) Joe "June Bug" Morton, Dominique Morton, Demekia Morton, Shatinie Jeffries, "Nana", and Johnny Massey; god-brother Jamal Staten, and a host of other cousins friends, god-aunts and uncles, and relatives.
