Michael Fields was born to Michael Fields, Sr. and Dorothy Fields on January 24, 1960. He received his formal education at Corliss High School and graduated in 1977. He had an interest in music, so he started playing the trombone and mastered it. He also played other brass instruments. He loved music of all kinds; but especially jazz.
He also went to Ohio State University and Chicago State University and majored in business management. He worked in the restaurant industry for many years in managerial positions; probably because he loved to cook and eat. He always mentored the young people he worked with to help them understand the industry.
He was a kind hearted, intelligent, hard working man with a beautiful spirit. He loved to cook and try new recipes. He also loved to travel and go to a good party. He enjoyed gardening, volunteering at the food pantry and delivering clothes to shelters. His motto was " No child left behind". He would go out of his way to help any child that he saw in need and was a blessing to many.
He joined New Community church in 2017. He was a member of the Locker room Ministrry with the men of the church. He loved his church family and they loved him.
