Kaye, MichaelMichael S. Kaye, age 62 passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in Jacksonville, North Carolina. He was born on November 27, 1954 in Oshkosh the son of the late Edward and Katherine (Kruse) Kaye. He proudly served our country in the Army during a time of war. Michael received an associate's degree and became a police officer. He was united in marriage on November 27, 1987 to Laura Longfellow in Akron, Ohio. Michael later became an over the road truck driver. He loved being a father and being with his kids. He also enjoyed shooting, motorsports, mechanics and living life to its fullest. Michael would often be found traveling and on his motorcycle with his dog, Kooks.Michael is survived by his four children: Brandy Longfellow, Molly Kaye, Sheila Kaye, Edward (Amanda) Kaye and their mother, Laura Kaye; six grandchildren: Angelo, Day Shawn, Amareay, Kalia, Orlando Jr., and Keyarre; one sister: Linda Kaye; one brother; nieces and nephews; and numerous friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and several friends.A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 12:00pm at Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
