Michael D. Umphrey, age 68, of Oscoda died on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 at his home. He was born on Jan. 8, 1945 in Flint to the late Melvin and Charlesetta Umphrey (nee McLeod). Mike was a talented mechanic and guitar enthusiast. He was well known throughout the community and was kind to several friends over the years. Mike is survived by his brother, William (Phyllis) Umphrey; longtime companion, Lois; and nephew, Dennis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several siblings.
