Maxine FrenchBattle CreekMaxine French age 94, of Battle Creek, passed away on July 29, 2017. She was born on June 18, 1923 in Cadillac, Michigan the daughter of William and Myrtle (Wright) Thomason. Maxine attended school in Meauwataka and Mesic. She was united in marriage on February 16, 1941 in Cadillac to Lynn French. They and their twin boys moved to Battle Creek in 1942 where they made their home. Maxine was employed for the Kellogg Company in the Packaging Department, retiring in 1980 after thirty years of service. She was a member of the Kellogg Twenty-Five Year Club, AARP, and the Leila Auxiliary. Maxine was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene where she was a board member, Sunday school teacher and Director of Senior Adult Ministries. She was preceded in death by her parents; William and Myrtle, husband; Lynn French in 1977, sons; Larry L. French in 1966, and Jerry French in 1992, granddaughter Kimberly Darling and seven brothers and two sisters. Surviving are a son; Charles E. (Linda) French of Huntley, Illinois, sisters; Dorothy Hughes of Battle Creek, Lucy (Quentin) Jones of Battle Creek, five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017, with funeral services at 6:00 p.m., Pastor Doug Plunkett officiating. A private interment will take place at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at
