Bowen, Maurice "Maury" Antry died on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. He was born on July 12, 1930 in Anthony, Kansas, to parents Cora Bessie Antry Bowen and Moses Agnew Bowen. He lived in the Fort Worth area during his early years and moved to Wichita later where he attended and graduated from Wichita North High in 1949. Maurice attended the University of Wichita where he graduated with a Business Administration degree in 1953, and then served for two years in the U.S. Army. During most of his career he worked as a manager at The Boeing Airplane Company. In 1953 he married his lifelong partner Mary Constance "Connie" Magruder, who died one year ago. They had no children. Maury and Connie enjoyed the game of golf throughout their lives. He received numerous awards and won many tournaments over the years, and had the distinction of winning the Kansas State Senior Tournament five times between 1992 and 2002. Maury was known for his eternal smile and light-hearted upbeat personality. He will be missed by friends and family. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, at the Resthaven Mortuary. Contributions can be made in his honor to the Kansas Humane Society, an organization dear to the hearts of Maury and Connie.
