Matthew J. DrollDoverMatthew "Matt" James Droll, 41, passed away on Tuesday October 4, 2016. He was born on September 6, 1975 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio to James G. Droll and Virginia L. (Beck) Droll. Matt was an operations district Manager with Agilent Technologies. His work at Agilent for the past 10 years involved managing a team of sales specialists in the life sciences industry, specifically genetic research and clinical molecular testing. His everyday technical interaction with top government and private industry researchers and medical professionals across North America was professionally rewarding and fulfilling for Matt. Those that worked with Matt will remember his team dedication, business acumen and professional pride.Matt was a high school graduate of Columbia High School in Columbia Station, OH. He continued his education at Ohio Northern University in Ada, OH with a degree in Biology. He was united in marriage with Michele (Novatski) Droll on June 25, 2005 at their beautiful historic home in Dover. Matt had many hobbies and interests, including working with his hands in his woodshop, around his property, and spending time with his wife and daughter on many exciting adventures. He was an amazing husband and father and will be missed dearly by many close friends and family.Matt is survived by his wife, Michele Novatski Droll; daughter, Avery McKenna Droll; his parents Jim G. Droll and Virginia L. Droll of Columbia Station, OH; sister, Amanda Cobb and husband, Philip; brother, Marcus Droll and wife, Sonja; mother-in-law, Carol Novatski; sister-in-law, Cynthia Hoch and husband, Daniel; several aunts and uncles, including Edward and Sandy Baud and Allen and Vicky Novatski; nieces and nephews, Maxwell, AvaLee, and Julia Cobb, Wesley, Jackson, and Madelyn Droll; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Edward M. Novatski.The family will receive friends on Monday, October 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, NC, with a Celebration of Life following at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
