Matteo (Teo) Winston CortellettiMANSFIELD: Matteo (Teo) Winston Cortelletti passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Oak Grove Manor in Mansfield, Ohio at the age of 79.Teo was born on July 8, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Elmer and Ellen Cortelletti. He was the younger of two children. Teo received his education from Mansfield Senior High School and graduated in 1955. He served in the United States
Army from 1958 to 1960 and went on to work in the soft drink industry (Nehi for one year and Cotton Club for 40), Stulhldreher Florist for 3 years and served as an independent contractor for Sprint Phone Company for 12 years.Teo was married to Cecelia Ann Cortelletti on June 2, 1962. They were happily married for 54 years and were always the life of the party.Teo was a lifelong bowler and golfer. He also enjoyed watching Ohio State and Cleveland sports, passing on this passion to his children. He was a member of ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) and had a love for food, as evidenced by his boisterous "Let's Eat!" every time he came into the house. He also loved attending his grandchildren's school and sporting events. We will miss his enthusiasm, energy and quickness to smile.Teo is survived by his wife, Cecelia; children, Todd (Judy), Scott (Joy) and Tia (Ben); grandchildren, Lauren (Brian), Alexa (Scott), Brett, Logan, Brianna and Tegan. He was preceded in death by his sister and her husband, Irene Cortelletti (Al) Slagle.We thank Oak Grove and Southern Care Hospice for two years of exceptional service during the past two years of his life.Friends may call from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Pentti Maki. Full military honors will be conducted by the Richland County Joint
