Mary Lou Quarters, age 85, of East Tawas died on Friday, April 10, 2015 at her home. She was born on Nov. 27, 1929 to the late Clarence and Lillian Blaisdell (nee McMurray). Mary Lou graduated from East Tawas High School as valedictorian. She worked as a homemaker and an executive secretary. Mary Lou enjoyed gardening, bowling and golfing. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles, whom she married on Jan. 20, 1951. Mary Lou is also survived by her son, Charles (Judy) Quarters Jr. of Tawas City; daughter, Joanne (Jerry) Moeller of National City; five grandchildren, Jay (Jen) Quarters, Tiffany (Tim) Bischoff, Trisha Quarters, Jeff (Tara) Moeller and Jaime (Don) Sloan; and five great grandchildren, Kayla Quarters, Jayden Quarters, Aliza Moeller, Marleigh Moeller and Connor Sloan. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 11 a.m. at Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City with Father Lawrence Boks officiating.
