DUNN, MARY LOUMary Lou Dunn; passed away on Sunday, November 6th, 2016, at Masonicare of Newtown. Mary Lou was born on December 8th, 1926 in Danbury. The daughter of the late Martin and Loretta (Brennan) Keating, sister to Peggy Lougheed and Jean Weaver, both predeceased. She graduated from St. Peters' School and from Danbury High School, class of '44. While in high school she met her future husband Bart Dunn. They were married at St. Peter's Church in 1949, after Bart's military service. Mary Lou and Bart were married for 60 years. They were the love of each others life and best friends, never apart until Bart's passing, and now reunited in Heaven forever. Mary Lou worked for Southern New England Telephone Co. in her early adult life. She was primarily a homemaker. She was a member of the Danbury Junior Service League, preformed volunteer work at a dental clinic that was run at St Peter's School, assisted with swimming lessons at the Bishop Kearney Center, now the Danbury Y.M.C.A.. She was a fifteen year volunteer at Danbury Hospital. Mary Lou loved to attend family events, picnics, holiday parties, sporting events, dance, and graduation of her granddaughter's, niece's nephew's and extended family and friends. Mary Lou is survived by her son Pete Dunn and his wife Anne Dunn, granddaughter's Caitlin Dunn and Kelsey Dunn. She is also survived by her niece's Susan MacKenzie, Sally Guy, Sheila Lougheed, Barbra Jean O'Donnell, Carol Gladstone, and Bonnie Erickson, nephew's D.J. Frinder, Gerry Gladstone, Bob Grahn and Bob Germaine (predeceased). Also by very dear friends Tom and Nancy Bowen their son Joe Bowen and daughter Kate Bowen, considered as part of her family. Family and friends will be welcome to Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Saturday, November 12th. from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, followed by Mass at St Peter's Church, Danbury at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital at www.stjude.org
