Mary Lou (Myers) Bowley, age 82, of Hawthorne Street in Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2015, at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born on April 22, 1933, to the late John and Hazel (Plyler) Myers, in Jefferson County PA. She was married to the late Donald Bowley who passed away on February 28, 2002. She worked for and retired from GC Murphy's. She moved from being a sales person to working in the stockroom. She also worked as a meter maid for Brookville Borough. She was a member of the Emerickville United Methodist Church and a former member of the Rebekah Lodge that existed in the Brookville area. She is survived by 1 son, Rodney (the late Tammy) Bowley of Colorado Springs, CO; 1 sister, Barb (the late Bob) Sharp of Brookville, PA; 1 grandchild, Stephanie (Jack) Niper of Brookville, PA; 5 great-grandchildren, John, Darrein, Caleb, Halie, and Maxamus; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Dante and Raiden; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by 2 brothers, C.D. (Darlene, who survives) Myers and William (Rose) Myers. Family and friends will be received from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm on Monday, October 26, 2015, at the McKinney – d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville PA, 15825. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11:00am, with the Rev. David Chin officiating.
