Mary Katherine Ivie passed away on Nov. 13, 2016, in Rexburg, Idaho, at the age of 52. She was born on Sept. 14, 1964, in Missoula, Montana. Mary was the middle of three children born to Ralph Kirk Parmenter and Katherine Kington. She was raised in many places, such as Montana, Idaho and even Hawaii. She settled in Rexburg, Idaho, and married Peter Ivie on March 8, 1996, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They adopted Holly and Cambree, and shortly thereafter gave birth to Victoria. Step children from Peter and Jackie include Jonathan and Jennifer.Mary went to LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah, and then moved to Rexburg, started her career at Brigham Young University–Idaho, formerly known as Ricks College, and continued there until her passing.Mary had a great love for her family. Going to reunions and camping were some of her great joys. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the gospel that she showed in the way she loved and gave service to others. She was preceded in death by her parents Katherine Duffin, Dale Duffin and Ralph Kirk Parmenter, and by her grandparents Ralph and Helen Parmenter and May and Lewis Glen Kington.There are numerous siblings from other marriages. Siblings include Mike Parmenter, Victor Duffin, Cameron Duffin, Tamah Kenck, Kevin Duffin, Kristi Richards, Kelli Parmenter Cornwall, Connie Driscoll, Debbie Chartier, Cody Savage and Jim Hamilton. Extended family Al and Janie Kington, Carolyn Young, Jim and Fran Kington and Georgia Cousins. Also Uncle Spike Young. Peter's family includes his mother, Dorothy Ivie; and father, the late Arthur Rex; sister Barbra Jensen; sister Sarah Ivie; and brother Cory Butler and children.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Henry's Fork LDS Stake Center with Bishop Rick Hirschi officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:30-7 p.m at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services.
