Mary Elizabeth "Liz" HeilmanMary Elizabeth "Liz" Heilman, age 89, died in the loving care of Blue Water Hospice on April 7, 2017. Liz was born on June 12, 1927, to Ernest and Bernadette Bon Secours. On October 2, 1948, she married F. Louis Heilman, who preceded her in death in 1981.Liz was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She enjoyed being part of the church choir for many years. She also enjoyed being a member and Past Regent of the Daughters of Isabella, St. Agatha Circle #419.She is survived by daughters, Bernadette Wilkins of St. Clair, Victoria Smith of Berkley, Jeanette Williams of Paw Paw, Josette Barney of East China, Yvette Slease of St. Clair, Colette (Dallas) Danhausen of Kimball and Lisette Heilman of Marine City; sons, Karl Heilman of Georgia, David (Lety) Heilman of Texas and Daniel (Donna) Heilman of Fort Gratiot; 31 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Annette Heilman; grandson, Matthew Williams; grand-daughter, Mary Terese Slease; sister, Catherine Gregg and sons in law, Ray Wilkins, Roger Barney and Dave Williams.A very special thank you to the compassionate care of Blue Water Hospice staff, Scott, Chantel, Kathleen, Joe & Mindy. Also, Blue Water Hospice Home and their caring staff and volunteers.A Mass of Resurrection will be Wednesday April 12th at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Our Lady on the River Parish, Marine City. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cheboygan. Visiting hours are Tuesday 3:00 to 8:00 p .m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp., with rosary recital at 7:00 p.m. Additional visitation Wednesday at church one hour prior to mass.Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
