Mary Ruth (Vincent) was born October 1, 1954 in Lynn, MA to Leo and Dorothy Vincent. She graduated from Lynn English High School in 1973. Soon after, she began working for Sears Roebuck and Co. 

 

In 1975, she met the love of her life and on May 3, 1980 she married James William Ruth of Lynn, MA. She stepped away from her career to give birth to her first son Micheal in 1983 and in 1987 gave birth to her second son Douglas. In 1993, Mary began a second career with Stop & Shop where she worked for the next  25 years while making many close friends.

 

Unfortunately in 2012, Mary was diagnosed with cancer but courageously continued to battled the disease. In 2018, her and her husband moved to Epping, NH to enjoy retirement.

 

On May 20, 2020, after an eight year, courageous battle with her cancer, Mary passed away in her home, with her hand held tightly in her husbands and beside her two boys. 

 

In her younger years, Mary was an avid Boston Bruins fan and co-pilot on her husbands motorcycle rides. Later in life, She enjoyed cooking and baking (especially for her new daughter in law) as well as traveling, as long as it was a 5 star hotel.  

 

She was proceed in death by her father and mother and her nephew Brian. She is survived by her husband James and sons Michael and Douglas and his wife Caitlin; Her sister Alice and husband Robert and brother Richard and wife Mary; her nephew Scott and wife Michelle and their children Megan and Brady.
