Mary Carolyn Webber 12/24/1934 - 12/6/2016 Mary Carolyn Webber, a longtime resident of Auburn, Calif. and Weimar, Calif. died on December 6, 2016. She was born on December 24, 1934 in Pawnee City, Nebr., she was a daughter of Wesley and Sarah (Ash) Bratt. Mary was a rural mail carrier for the Auburn Post Office for over 20 years, retiring in the 1990's. She attended the University of Nebraska and also worked as an educator and homemaker. Mary is survived by her husband, Gary Arnold Webber, of Weimar. She is also survived by seven children, John Veylupek and his wife, Amy, of Lancaster, Pa., Alex Veylupek and his wife, Kris Allott, of West Sacramento, Calif., Charles Veylupek, Mary Chris Valverde and her husband, Mike, of Rocklin, Calif., Jake Veylupek of New York City, N.Y., stepdaughter Lynn Webber Carlson of Kona, Hawaii, and Sheldon Webber. Also surviving are five grandchildren, India and Malachi Veylupek, and Michael, Steven and Jessica Valverde, and two sisters, Miriam Lindstrom of Gambier, Ohio, and Marjorie Eddy of Boulder, Colo. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Neil Bratt, and a sister, Doris Hall. Carolyn enjoyed volunteer work at a local thrift shop after retirement. She inherited a love of reading from her parents and was particularly fond of the poetry of Emily Dickinson; she enjoyed watching hummingbirds at her window feeder. She is sorely missed by her family.
