In the city of Lafayette Louisiana on December 16, 1943, God graced the lives of Caffery Joseph and Espasie Sam Alexander with a beautiful baby girl. they named her Mary Belle Alexander, she was tiny but filled with strength and eager to make her mark on the world having two younger sisters and one little brother she made her self the provider.

Soon after Mary Belle James birth the Alexander family moved to Houston, Texas and was educated at a public school system where she attended dogan elementary, E.O Smith and Kashmere high school.

Mary Belle James Married George James and started a family having 6 children and from there it grew to 10 grandchildren and then to 8 great-grandchildren, her main passion was taking care of her family, and providing for her loved ones. a woman full of spirit and so much drive and was determined to go the distance just to make it for herself and for her family.

Mary Belle Alexander James transitioned from this life on Monday morning June the 18 in Dallas Texas at 9:10; she preceded in death by her parents Caffery and Spasie Alexander; brother Herbert Alexander, Sr; sister Mary Helen Merchant and husband George T. James, Sr. She leaves a legacy of excellence to three faithful devoted children Sandra Denis James, George Thomas James Jr., and Terrance Gerard James; sister Madeline Dale Alexander; 10 grandchildren Diamond James, Arielle James, Brandon Gunter; Reneisha King, Terlyn Carter, Christopher James , Brandi James, Britney Gunter, Aniyah James and Terrance James Jr and grandkids Cherrish, Tianan, Aubrey. Andrew, Connor, Darius, Raheem, Aushua, Adorian and Clara.
