Mary E. BatchBattle CreekMary E. Batch, age 89, of Battle Creek, went to be with her Lord on Monday, October 10, 2016. Mary was born on August 15, 1927 in Iselin, PA, the daughter of Michael and Rita (Beni) Massera. She had been a lifelong resident of the Battle Creek area. On June 2, 1947, she was united in marriage to Frank T. Batch who survives. Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a former member of the Rosary and Altar Society. She enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles, romance novels, shopping, polkas, her rose garden and was a room mother at the school.Surviving are her children, John (Marcia) Batch and Dorita (John) Pishko. She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael "Cuddy" Massera and a sister, Betty Lou Massera.Visitation will be held Monday from 5 to 8:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at St. Jerome Catholic Church.
