Mary Arrambide HaydonOxnard, CARobbie and his "Angel" (Mary) are finally together again for eternity. On September 1st 2017, Mary (Arrambide) Haydon age 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Oxnard, that they shared together for over 63 years, surrounded by her son and friends. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was married for 63 years to the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Robert (Robbie) Haydon, whom she married after WWII, who preceded her in death in 2011. Mary was born on July 1st 1926, in Louisville, CO. She was the sixth oldest of fourteen children. Her family then moved and settled in Oxnard a few years later. She attended local schools and graduated from Oxnard High School and Ventura College. She was a member of the Oxnard Young Ladies Institute, an active participant at both Santa Clara Elementary, Santa Clara High, and St. Anthony Schools while her boys attended. She also participated in the Knights of Columbus Council 750. She is remembered by all for her kind and generous heart and her love of cooking and baking.She had countless siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends that loved and enjoyed her passion for cooking and baking. There was always someone stopping by the Haydon household for baked goods or Mary was always busy in the kitchen baking for others. Mary is survived by her three sons and daughter -in- law; Robert (Bob) of San Jacinto, William (Bill) of Oxnard, Richard (Rick) and Cherri of Arroyo Grande. Grandchildren: Heather Haydon of San Jacinto, Matthew and Jordan Haydon of Kingman, AZ, Jennifer, Katie and Greg Haydon of Arroyo Grande; great granddaughters Remedy and Harmony of San Jacinto, great grandson Anson of Kingsman, AZ. Her sister Delores Watson, brother and sister -in- law Ernest (Dinky) and Marylou Arrambide, surrogate son Johnny Chung, surrogate daughters, Maricella Kowitz from Oxnard, Mary Olnstead from San Jacinto along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; Luciano and Jennie Arrambide of Oxnard; brothers; Anthony Arrambide of Oregon, Louie Arrambide of Camarillo, James Arrambide of Ventura and Frank Arrambide of Utah. Sisters; Madelyn Scott of Palmdale, Tommie Waldrop, Jennie Guevara, Eleanor Rhodes and Elsa Peddicord, all of Oxnard, Donna Hazel of Sanger and Patricia Petty of Canyon Country. A rosary for Mary will be held on Thursday, Sept. 14th, 2017 at 7pm at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N. A St., Oxnard, CA. Visitation will take place from 5:30 to 9pm. Mass will take place at Santa Clara Church at 323 S. E St., Oxnard, CA, at 10am on Friday, Sept. 15th. Mrs. Haydon was entrusted into the care of the family owned and operated Reardon Funeral Home.
