Mary Ann McCannAGE: 79 • HillsboroughMary Ann 'Mom Mom' McCann, age 79, of Hillsborough, NJ passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville, NJ.She was born on April 5, 1937 in New York. She spent her childhood living in Newark and Plainfield, NJ. She resided for many years in Raritan, NJ before moving to Hillsborough, NJ 36 years ago.She was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Anna Josefek Settele. Her husband, Christopher James McCann Sr. passed away in 1976 after 19 years of marriage.Mary Ann worked for many years at the Raritan Public Library in Raritan, NJ. Years ago, she worked with her husband as a bookkeeper for his business, McCann Construction in Raritan, NJ. She also worked with her husband on several businesses including a swimming pool and snowmobile franchise in Lebanon, NJ.Mary Ann was a member of the Hillsborough Senior Club. She enjoyed photography, knitting, crocheting and scrapbooking. She loved going to Walmart to print pictures for her scrapbooks. She also enjoyed going on bus trips, going to Ocean City, NJ and traveling. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Survivors include 1 son; Christopher James McCann Jr. and his wife Vicki of Slidell, LA. 1 daughter; Melanie Ann Meseroll and her extended family of Asbury, NJ. 4 granddaughters; Krisha Tong, Katie McCann and her fiancé Scott Thornhill, Shannon Conover and her husband Bill and Christine Baglioni. 4 great-grandchildren; Edith Joy Conover, Hardy William Conover, Emilee Thornhill and Harrison Tong. 3 sisters; Dorothy Bednar and her husband John of Piscataway, NJ, Carol Forte of MA and Bertha Jacob of MA. 1 brother; Harry Settele and his wife Ellen of Oxford, NJ. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, March 17, 2017 from 2-4pm with Funeral Service at 4pm. All at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ.
