Bivens, Mary Ann Mary Ann Bivens, age 83, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2016 after a brief illness. Mary Ann was born on February 23, 1933 in Benton, AR to Paul and Irene McDonald. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Martha Conway; and a brother, Eddie McDonald. She is survived by three sisters, Venita Bishop of Benton, AR, Ruth Jackson of Rio Rancho, NM, and Alice Krobot of Caldwell, TX; a twin brother, Robert McDonald of Hayward, CA; her husband of 45 years, Hugh M. Bivens; a son, Hugh P. Bivens and his wife, Elizabeth of Albuquerque, NM; a granddaughter, Celeste of Albuquerque; and a son by a previous marriage, Mark Bishop of Austin, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Ann served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. She was a secretary for several employers, the last being Sandia National Laboratories. She then became a stay at home mom. She was a compassionate and loving wife and mother. She will be missed. Cremation has occurred and interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with private graveside services to be held at a later date.
