MARVIN A. LINDSTROM, 90 LANARK - Marvin A. Lindstrom, 90, of Lanark passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at his home. He was born on April 4, 1924, in DeWitt, IA, the son of Alfred and Signe Lindstrom. He married Rosalie Kingery on Jan. 22, 1948, at the Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren. He served in the Army during WWII and was a retired Lanark farmer. Marvin was a member of the Cherry Grove Church of the Brethren and served on the Cherry Grove Cemetery Board for nine years. Surviving are his wife; children, Connie Rudy of Freeport, Wayne (Debra) Lindstrom of Chadwick, Chris (Don) Johnson of Lanark, Scott (LeAnn) Lindstrom of Lanark; daughter-in-law, Linda Lindstrom of Lena; 14 grandchildren; 34 Great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceding his death were his parents; one son, David Lindstrom; son-in-law, Lynn Rudy; two grandchildren; 4 sisters; and 4 brothers. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the Cherry Grove Church of The Brethren, with Rev. John Ewing officiating. There will be no visitation. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at Freeport. Memorials have been established in his memory for Mercy Hospice and the .
