I’m Marvin was born to the late Towanda Hawkins and Melvin Baker. God called him home on April 15th,2019. Marvin was born in Baltimore (Maryland) at Mercy hospital. He received his education in Baltimore city public schools.
Marvin loved to cook. He pursed his cooking career at Stratford University. Marvin leaves behind 2 brothers Shawn and Michael and 5 sisters Janel, Ke’Shae, Malika, Nekeia and Bialajah. 4 Nieces and 2 nephews who he loved dearly. Marvin also loved to play basketball. Every Sunday morning he would go to the gym and play basketball with his friends. He walked around with a big smile showing all those white teeth. You would never know when and if Marvin was under stress or pressure. Life was precious to him, nothing could stop his shine. Marvin always said “To know me is to love me” and he sure was right. While Marvin attended school he worked for Sprint phone company.
He loved walks in the park, site seeing. Traveling. Marvin had big dreams of opening up his own restaurant someday.
Marvin would go around saying “nobody can steal my joy”. He will truly be missed!

Please accept my deepest and sympathy. May the God who binds up the broken-hearted comforts all who mourn, sustain your family during this challenging time.(Isaiah 61: 1,2.)

It is comforting to know that the God of all comfort will completely remove all grief at the time of the earthly resurrection. The Bible at John 5:28,29 comforts us with the words, Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. God promises that he will do away with death forever, and God will wipe away the tears from all faces. Isaiah 25:8
