Marshall Hayes, 90, of Indianapolis, Indiana, was reunited with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, early morning on September 28, 2020. Marshall was born on February 05, 1930. Marshall was raised in Indianapolis where he lived for the rest of his life. He graduated from North Central High School. After a short courtship, Marshall married Olivia. Following Marshall’s return from World War II, Marshall and Olivia expanded their family by welcoming their only child, Ida Lynne. Never one to be without his camera, Marshall also served as the family photographer. Marshall was an active member of social clubs – the local book and the computer club. Marshall enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, New York, and California with his late wife, to Las Vegas, New Jersey, Mississippi, and Alabama with his daughter, to Florida and South Carolina with his niece, Priscilla Radford, great-niece, Ruth “Smiles” Williams, and great-nephew, David Grant. He loved going to visit his granddaughter and great-granddaughter. Most importantly, Marshall will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving, funny, understanding, and generous man. Marshall is preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Adelaide Hayes; and his wife, Olivia Hayes. Marshall is survived his daughter, Ida Hayes; granddaughter, Kelly Hayes; grandson, Richard (Kerry) Hayes; great-granddaughter, Sydney Hayes; great-grandson, Nicholas Hayes; three nieces, Priscilla (Martin) Radford, Viola (Don) Keating, and Abigail Ballard; two nephews, David Grant and Andrew (Jean) Keating; friends who were like brothers, Fitzgerald Taylor and Earl Langley; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, friends and other family members.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
