Machut, Marlene F.Marlene F. Machut, age 84, formerly of Plymouth, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 17, 2017 while at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Marlene was born on July 27, 1933, in New Glarus, WI, to the late Henry and Romona (Fuchs) Kundert. She graduated from Madison West High School and continued her education at UW LaCrosse and received her Bachelor's degree in education. Following graduation, Marlene moved to Plymouth and was employed by the Plymouth School District as a science and physical education teacher. On July 20, 1957, she was united in marriage to Donald Machut in Sauk City, WI. The couple purchased their farm in the town of Plymouth, where Marlene was proud to have been able to stay until 2011. After the couple's eldest daughter was born, Marlene stayed home to help on the farm and raise their three daughters. About the time that their youngest was ready to start school, Marlene returned to teaching at St. John Lutheran, where the couple had been members. She held various roles there, including coaching cheerleading and volleyball, and taught at St. John until her retirement. Donald preceded her in death on February 20, 1989.Marlene was very active in several women's clubs within the Sheboygan Area. She was also an avid Brewers and Packers fan, and found pure joy in watching any tennis match she could find on television. Marlene took great pride in her family and enjoyed every minute spent with her beloved grandchildren. Since 2011, Marlene resided in Waukesha, WI and was a member of Elm Grove Ev. Lutheran Church. Marlene is survived by her three daughters, Lynette (Larry) Jost of St. Louis, MO, Jelaine (Steven) Douglas of Racine and Paula (Tri) Ky of Waukesha; six grandchildren, Ethan and Trevor Jost, Aaron and Mara Douglas, and Tyler and Lizzie Ky and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Kundert. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Duane Kundert and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Harold and Mardell Schumacher.A funeral service for Marlene will be held at 4 PM on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Nathan Meador officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may gather at the church, 222 Stafford St., Plymouth, from 2 PM until the time of service at 4 PM.Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
