Parks was born March 8th, 1940 in lake norden, South Dakota with sisters; Lucile Ewing, Dorothy kyllo, Vicki Hess, Colleen berry brothers; Howard Phillips , Harold Phillips and Robert Phillips her parents were Ester peso and Howard Phillips. Marlene parks was survived by her sons; Lenny Mathews, Gary Mathews, donnell parks daughter; Teresa parks (son in law Jose Garcia)

Marlene’s pre deceased children were son Melvin Mathews & daughter Naomi Mathews , her grand kids; shalea , Kaisha , Jasmine , isaiah , Amber , micheal , keiana , tajanae , Lenny , Carlos , Isaac and great grand kids dae’sean , Kayden , Eli , ava , micheal Jr ,Marcus , makai , Nyla , Jabu. Marlene was known and loved by many, many will remember her for her tough love, many will remember her for her big heart and undeniable strength. Marlene has faced many hardships in life but always found a way she was undoubtedly the rock of our family and for that her love , her lessons and her sass will live on in our hearts Jan 27 , 2019  Marlene B parks went home to god , but her love will continue to live down here with us forever .
