Pivac, Marko Marko Pivac passed away peacefully on April 26, 2017 at his home in Wauwatosa, WI. He was born on November 15, 1921 in Sibenik, Croatia (the former Yugoslavia) to Mate and Marija (Krncevic) Pivac. He immigrated to the US in 1951 and graduated from Marquette University in Electrical Engineering in Spring 1957. In 1966, he married the love of his life, Dragojla Ostojic, and they celebrated 32 wonderful years together before her passing in 1998. Marko joined the AC Delco Electronics Division of GM in 1958 where he worked on a wide variety of aerospace projects including the Titan II and Titan III Air Force Missiles until his retirement in 1980. Marko is preceded in death by his wife, Dragojla, his parents, and his sister, Milena. He is survived by his close relatives, Ramo and Milka Sehic and their daughter Maja (Shawn) Wu and children Isabella, Sabrina, Angelina, Alexander Marko ; special friends Gary and Kathy Olsen and their two sons, Marc (Emily and children Adelaide and August) and Michael (Crystal); special friends Andrew Taylor and Janet Taylor, their son Paul, daughter Lisa, and her son Paul; and many, many other friends throughout the world. Since his retirement, Marko has published three books-one a biography of his wife's life and the other two a history of Yugoslavia during World War II. He had almost completed his fourth book about his life with his beloved wife Dragojla. Marko will always be remembered for his generosity, his great love of children, his intellect, his interests in a wide variety of topics, his deep devotion to his wonderful Dragojla, and his love of his native Yugoslavia from which he was forced to flee during World War II. Above all, Marko was a gentleman, respected and loved by all who knew him. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 29, at Sacred Heart Church (917 N. 49th St., Milwaukee) at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held Saturday at Sacred Heart Church at 9:00 AM until time of Mass. Interment Good Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Sacred Heart Church, St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, or a charity of your choosing are greatly appreciated.
