Mark Carroll Gommel, age 56, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on October 29, 2016. He was born on May 13, 1960 in Berea, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Karen Marie Gommel. Brother of Bruce (Theresa), Craig (Donna), Tim (Joyce), Doug (Carmen). Uncle of Barret, Brigitte, Jamie, Josh, Jonathan, Jessica, and Karl. Brother in law of Charlene Totora (Phil) and uncle of Phillip, Lauren, and Ashley. He is predeceased by his parents Richard and Pat Gommel, and sibling Joey. Mark will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation with the family at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Friday, November 4, 2016 with a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm.
