RACINE - Marjorie E. Thogersen, 94, joined the Lord Jesus Christ in glory on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Wheaton-Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born on March 4, 1921 in Ashland, Wisconsin to Fred and Martha Patzer. She graduated from Beloit College, and in her earlier years was an accomplished pianist. Upon moving to Racine, she was employed by Western Publishing Company where she met her future husband, Edwin Thogersen. They were married on September 11, 1954, and she became a devoted homemaker. Ed preceded her in death in 1987. Over the years, Marge was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Faith Community Church, and most recently attended Racine Bible Church. Surviving are their two daughters, Barbara (Dr. Michael) Meythaler of Coeurd Alene, Idaho, and Deborah of Racine, her faithful caregiver; one brother, Eugene Patzer of Florida; nieces, Carole Habermann, Kathy Amundsen, nephew, Fred (Christy) Bach, and other relatives. According to Marjories wishes, a private family funeral service was held, with Pastor Wayne Beilgard of Racine Bible Church officiating. Memorials may be made to Racine Bible. Church, or to the ministry of WVCY Christian radio in Milwaukee. The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Michael Mullane and his outstanding staff, and to Tom Van De Water and family of Advanced Spine and Sport Rehabilitation for their unparalleled compassion and excellent care of Marge and Deb.
