Marion J. Schoonover, age 81, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on December 18, 1935 in Fond du Lac to the late Kneeland and Louise (Tabbert) Sass. She was married to Richard Schoonover on September 12, 1959 at the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac. They were married 58 years.Marion graduated high school from Horace Mann High School in Fond du Lac. She worked in the meat packaging department at Krambo, became a homemaker when the kids arrived and went on to be Co-owner of Ring Locker Plant, and then worked at Piggly Wiggly (Deli).She loved spending time with family, playing cards, sewing and socializing. Marion especially loved all of her grandkids and great grandkids. She will be dearly missed by all.Marion is survived by her husband: Richard; daughter: Bambi Schoonover; sons: Randy (Kris) and William (Debra); grandchildren: Jennifer (Brian) Perzentka, Chad Schoonover, Daniel (Lisa) Levenhagen, Michael Schoonover, Stephanie (Casey) Alexander and Jessica, Alex, Cory, and Erin Schoonover; eleven great grandchildren; brothers: Frank (Gloria) and Harold (Toni) Sass; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Elaine sass and Arlene Reitz.A memorial service for Marion will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2017 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes- (Westside). Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.The family would like to send a special thank you to Maxine for all her help.
