EDGERTON, Ohio — Marietta Stuart, age 82, a lifelong resident of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn, Indiana, where she was a resident. She was a 1950 graduate of Edgerton High School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton. For many years she worked for the elderly around Edgerton, helping with home care. She was presented a Volunteer of the Year by Park View Nursing Center in Edgerton for her work with the elderly. Marietta Stuart was born on January 31, 1932, in Edgerton, the daughter of Clarence and Thelma (Limpach) Reas. She married Donald Stuart on December 30, 1952, in Bryan, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on February 24, 2009. Survivors include two daughters, Rena Bowen of Edgerton, and Machelle (John) Pepple of Waterloo, Indiana; a stepgrandson, Jim Pepple of Fort Wayne, Indiana; three stepgreat-granddaughters, Zoe, Ava and Lilly Pepple; and two brothers, Kenneth and Lester Reas. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Collin in 2011. A memorial service celebrating the life of Marietta Stuart will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Father David Cirata officiating. The family will receive visitors for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home, beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
