McKINNEY, MarieIt is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Marie Josephine McKinney (nee McDonnell) on April 19, 2017, who died peacefully at home. Marie was born on August 1, 1939 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.Marie was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Susan; and her brother, Jackie.She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Frederick; children, Kieran, Suzanne (James) Forrest, John (Sandra), Jane (Darcy) Jones and grandchildren, Kiera, Kye, Aidan, Kirstyn, Braedan and Jenna.Remembered by numerous family, two brothers, Thomas and Gerry McDonnell, numerous nieces and nephews in Edmonton. Also many family and friends in the United Kingdom and Edmonton, Alberta.Fred and Marie were married on June 7, 1959 in Pleasantville, New York and settled in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 1972 where they raised their children.In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation are gratefully encouraged.
