School, Marie E.Marie E. School, age 85, of Appleton, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at The Heritage on Friday, January 27, 2017. Marie was born on July 12, 1931, in Appleton, to the late Frank and Hildegarde (Pauli) Buss. She married Art School on July 28, 1951, in Appleton. Marie was formerly employed by Zwicker Knitting Mills, Treasure Island and was a beloved school lunch lady while in Tomah. Survivors include her son, Tom (Mary—Marie's favorite daughter-in-law) School; her daughters, Debbie Sellers, Freedom, New Hampshire, and Wendy Salisbury (fiance Shawn Kinney), Appleton; her grandchildren, Stacy (S. John) Tadych, Alyssa (Phil) Collake, Lindsey (Josh) Schneider, Shelby Sellers, Katelyn Salisbury; her great grandchildren Kelsey, Kaylee (fiance Brent Haring), J.T. and Alex Tadych, Emily and Elizabeth Galles, Gabriel, Caleb and Levi Schneider; Shawn's children, James, Garett and Gavin; her great-great grandson, Carson Haring; her sister, Marlene Erickson (special friend Eric); her brother, Ron Buss; and her brother-in-law, Robert (Elaine) School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art; her grandson, Tom School, Jr. and his wife Sarah; and numerous other family members. Funeral services for Marie will be at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton, with Fr. Bill Swichtenberg officiating. The visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:30 p.m. until the time of services. Inurnment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name.
