Maribelle "Terri" Zimmerman, 94, of Racine, died Dec. 15, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Saint Marys Campus in Rochester. Maribelle Bruner was born on Oct. 6, 1922, in Gary, Ind., daughter of Fredrick Bruner and Esther Regnier. Terri graduated from Emerson High School in Gary, Ind. Terri loved music and moving her body to the beat. She toured with the USO, entertaining many United States soldiers, and was a dance instructor for years. Terri taught yoga, belly dancing, salsa, swing, but her favorite was Latin music and dance. After being together for many years, on Nov. 16, 1998, Terri married Donald Zimmerman in Hawaii. Terri was a caring and happy person who always had a smile on her face. She looked forward to dressing up, putting her lipstick on, and going out on the town. Terri adored Don and loved the life they had built together. In the summer, they spent weekends on Lake Zumbro, and in the winter enjoyed warmer weather in Mexico and Mesa, Ariz. Terri is survived by her husband, Donald of Racine; son, James (Sherie) Miller of Champlin, Minn.; daughter, Michelle Miller of Sarasota, Fla.; stepchildren, Sara Erickson of Rochester, and Ronald Zimmerman of Racine; grandchildren, Eric (Tessa) Miller of Big Lake, Minn., and Jennifer (Derrick) Meyer of Big Lake, Minn.; great-grandchildren Austin, Shelby, and Jeston; stepgrandchildren Alyssa Erickson of St. Paul, Minn., and Shane (Sarune Kleivaite-Erickson) of Barcelona, Spain; stepgreat-grandchildren Hayley and Sophia; sister-in-law, June Bruner of Angola, Ind.; brother-in-law, Lawrence Zimmerman of Rochester; and sister-in-law, Eleanor (Leo "Red") Bernard of Spring Valley. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 19, at Faith United Methodist Church, with Pastor Dave Lieder officiating. Burial will be in Racine Salem Cemetery in rural Racine. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
