GARDEN PLAIN-Hampel, Mariann 82, loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016. She was born on January 23, 1934, in Denver, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband Norbert, daughter Janet; parents Matt and Mary F Eck and brother John J. Eck. She is survived by her children Cindy Hampel, Steve (Dawn) Hampel, Duane (Julie) Hampel, Kevin (Monica) Hampel, and Donna (Gaylon) Edwards; 11 grandchildren, Damon Aimee, Erin, Megan, Adam, Ashton, Nicholas, Nathan, Seth, Sarah and Paul; 6 great-grandchildren Caitlyn, Sloane, Hunter, Bellamy and Adisyn as well as many nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to all the staff at Rosie's House, Reflection Living, Wichita, KS for the special care and love you gave mom. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Phoenix Hospice, Wichita, KS; Garden Plain Pro-Life Outreach Program; and Catholic Relief Services. Rosary will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 7:00 pm and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 10:30 am both at St Joseph of Padua Catholic Church, Garden Plain, KS.
