Milheiser, MarianMadison - Marian Milheiser, age 100, died peacefully at Chamomile Assisted Living in Madison, her home for the past two years, on Thursday, April 13, 2017. She was born on a farm near Oconto Falls, WI on February 26, 1917. She was the youngest of five children born to Wilton and Elizabeth Johnson. She married Harold Milheiser in December of 1934. They raised their three children in Milwaukee. Marian worked as a pants presser at Adelman Laundry for several years. She also worked in the handicraft department at Gimbels. Most of all, she enjoyed keeping house; she was quick and efficient with everything she did, especially enjoying any sort of outdoor activity. Upon retirement, Marian and Harold returned to Oconto Falls and had beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. She was active in the Oconto Falls Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed playing the organ, piano, and singing in the choir. Marian led a healthy life and remained quick-witted and aware to the end. She loved people and conversation, cats, playing games, reading, music, and the Green Bay Packers. She was grateful to all of the family and friends who attended her 100th birthday celebration in August of 2016.Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; son, Stewart; son-in-law, Bill Carrao; parents; brothers and sisters. She will be missed by her daughters, Margaret Carrao and Muriel (Pat) Marquardt; grandchildren, Paul Carrao and Gina (Tom) Bailey; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Thanks to all the staff at Chamomile Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice for their loving care and friendship.
