Maria Mary Quevedo LUBBOCK-Maria Mary D. Flores Quevedo, 72, of Lubbock, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, after a battling brain cancer. She was born on Dec. 4, 1944, in Karnes City, Texas, to Jesus and Geneva (Morales) Flores. She was a domestic housekeeper for Cindy and Robert Snell in the 80's and Amy and Busty Underwood in the 90's; she also worked for Beth and Don Rushing for 15 years before retiring in 2013. She was Catholic by faith. She loved playing bingo and spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Christine Q. Hernandez, Raquel Quevedo, Raul Quevedo, Jr. and Andrew Quevedo, Sr.; nine siblings, Manuel and David Flores, Lucia Reyes, Elena Garcia, Estella Arredondo, Henriquetta Morales, Juana Navarrette, Connie Mendez and Lisa Ortega; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Isabel Paz and Geneva Galicia. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, from 1 to 8 p.m. with rosary being cited at 6:30 p.m. at Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway, Lubbock. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
