Maria T. Kennedy1925 - 2014Maria T. Kennedy was born on Aug. 14, 1925, in Chicago to Joseph and Anna (nee Asaro) Torneo. She died Monday, May 12, 2014, in Park Ridge, Ill.Maria worked as a Chaplain for the Archdiocese of Chicago and as a secretary for St. Alphonsus Liguori in Prospect Heights, Ill., where she was also a member for many years. Maria is survived by her daughters, Cathy Kennedy (John) Freechack, Susan (Timothy) Lippert, and Donna Kennedy; grandchildren, John K. (Laura) Freechack, Amanda Freechack and Elizabeth Freechack; siblings Joseph Torneo and Estelle OBrien, and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, John Francis Kennedy, whom she married on Nov. 16, 1946, in Chicago, and her parents.Memorial Visitation Thurs., May 29, 2014, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N.
