Penney, Marguerite A.Marguerite A. Penney, age 83, of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at St. Nicholas Hospital Hospice. She was born on November 2, 1933 to the late Alfred and Marguerite Meyer. Marguerite was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. After high school, she had worked various jobs until gaining employment with the Thomas Industry Company where she worked for 25+ years until her retirement. During retirement, she returned to work part time with the Progressive Nursing Home for 5 years.Marguerite was a very kind and thoughtful mother, grandmother and sister. She spent her entire lifetime doing things for others so that it would make their lives a little bit better, even if it meant she may go without. She enjoyed reading books, putting together jigsaw puzzles, doing crosswords and watching soaps. The highlight of her week was the weekly luncheon with her sisters and brother with the three hours of gin rummy following their lunch.As it was her inspiration in life to help others so was it in her death as she chose to donate herself for scientific research purposes so that other lives may be improved and saved through this research.Marguerite is survived by her children, William (Cathy) Penney, Vickie Penney and Steven (Linda) Penney all of Sheboygan; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. She is further survived by her sisters, Doris Kober and Elaine Gorr and brothers, Dennis Meyer and Kenneth (Nancy) Meyer. In addition to her parents Alfred and Marguerite Meyer, she was preceded in death by two sons, Randy and Scott; 2 sisters and 9 brothers.Visitation will be held at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Marguerite's name.Marguerite's family would like to extend a thank you to the fourth-floor nursing staff at St. Nicholas Hospital and Hospice care for their compassionate care she received during her stay. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thank you to Dr. Bettag, Stacy, Dr. Kerpe and Kerry. Marguerite had nothing but the utmost respect for all of you.
