Margarito Gallegos, 89, a lifelong resident of Maes, was met in Heaven by his wife, Precides M. Gallegos on July 19, 2013. He was born on April 4, 1924 in Maes, and was the son of Vicente and Simonita Medina-Gallegos who preceded him in death.He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Precides M. Gallegos; son, Dolores (Lolo) Margarito Gallegos; and father-in-law, Jose Domingo Maestas, one brother, two sisters and many nieces and nephews.Margarito is survived by his son, Adelino Gallegos and wife, Linda; daughters, Lorine Gallegos-Romero and husband, Emilio, and Elisa Gallegos and Victor Casillas. He is survived by 13 grandchildren, Jacqueline Romero-Arguello, Roland Romero, Sr., Robert Lopez, Pamela Kaitfors, Sandra Gallegos, Marybeth Gallegos, Hope Gallegos, Dolores Gallegos, Lenore Gallegos, Teresita Coca, AndrewLee Romero, Angel Gallegos and Faith Gallegos. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Margarito was also survived by a special niece, Debbie Gallegos-Salazar and husband, Antonio. Margarito was also survived by brothers, Amadeo Gallegos and wife, Edna Mae, Laudente Gallegos and wife, Gloria; Eusebio Gallegos and wife, Anne; sisters, Josie Esquibel, Maria Gonzales, and Onofre GuymanRosary devotional services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today (Monday) from Our Lady of Sorrow Church in Las Vegas. Funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday from Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will follow at the Gallegos Family Cemetery in Maes, with the following serving as casket bearers: Roland Romero, Sr., Roland Romero, Jr., Kevin Romero, Alan Kaitfors, Antonio Salazar and Esteban Medina.
