Margaret Southard Todd, 68, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 12, 2017, at her residence. Margaret Rose was born on April 19, 1948 in Elkin NC, to the late Philip and Vera Baker Southard. She and Mike had lived in Winston Salem, NC, Media, PA, Orlando, FL and have been in Charlotte since 2000. Margaret had retired, when she and Mike started moving for Mike's jobs with Westinghouse Electric Corporation and later Siemens Power Generation. She was a member of University City United Methodist Church and served as a Greeter for the 9:45 service. Margaret was also a member of PEO Chapter CE, University City Women's Club and the Red Hat Society. A perfect day for Margaret was getting together with her Sisters for lunch, movies, shopping, Bridge, Mah Jongg and Bunco.She and Mike were married on August 8, 1970 at Elkin Valley Baptist Church, in Elkin, NC. In addition to her Husband, she is survived by her sister, Carole Bruce and her husband William (Bill) of Elkin, NC. She is also survived by three nephews, Craig Bruce of Los Angeles, CA, Jeffrey Bruce of Orlando, FL and Nick Bruce and his companion, Tina Mineo of Loxahatchee, FL. Memorial Services are planned for 2:00 pm Saturday, March 18 2017 at University City United Methodist Church in Charlotte. Friends may visit with the Family, starting at 1:00 pm in the Church Cafe.
