Margaret S. HilliardAGE: 87 • VinelandHilliard, Margaret Susan (Brown) 87 of Vineland, NJ passed away peacefully with family at her side on January 11, 2017. Margaret had been under the care of Bishop McCarthy Residence suffering from Alzheimer's for the past 10 years. Margaret, born on May 7, 1929, was the only child of the late Leda and Robert Brown. In 1946, she graduated from Bridgeton High School and married the love of her life, Mark T. Hilliard. They were married for 55 years before Mark's death in 2001. For many years Margaret worked as a retail clerk at Pantry Pride and Thriftway food stores in both Vineland and Bridgeton. Before retirement, she assisted her husband on his Tastykake route. Margaret loved spending time with her family and friends, mall hopping, and frequenting the casinos. Margaret is survived by her three children; Sherry Graham (Cliff), Mark R. Hilliard Sr. (Valerie), and Belford Craig Hilliard (Linda); grandchildren, Mark R. Hilliard Jr., Traci Hilliard Mayhew, Michelle Langley, Kelly Hilliard Freeman, Belford Craig Hilliard Jr., Emily Graham Quiñones, Steven T. Graham; and eleven great grandchildren. A graveside service under the direction of Pancoast Funeral Home will be held at the convenience of the family.
