Margaret L. Phifer was born on February 10, 1933, to Maggie and Charles Boykin. Margaret attended Phillips High School on the south side of Chicago where she was an all-star women's champion swimmer. Margaret graduated in 1950 where, shortly after, she married her high school sweetheart, Lloyd Phifer. They both worked at the United States Parcel Service where they retired. Together they made five wonderful kids, Lonnie Phifer, Karen Phifer (now Ameedah Mawalin), Maggie Phifer, Lloyd Phifer and Judy Phifer. She was called home on July 14, 2015 where she joins her mom and dad in heaven. She was loved by her children, grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and family members. She will surely be missed!
