Dougherty, Margaret M Margaret M. Dougherty, 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Margaret was born on November 5, 1923 in Superior, WI, daughter of the late George and Mary (Stansky) LaValley. She married Thomas Dougherty on May 5, 1945 in Superior. He preceded her in death on August 13, 1997. Margaret grew up in Superior before moving to Milwaukee and then eventually to Fort Atkinson in 1979. She spent the past two years in Waukesha to be closer to her family. Margaret is survived by her children, Mary Larson of Waukesha, Thomas G. (Kathleen) Dougherty of Shorewood, Diana Dougherty of Pinellas Park, FL and Patrick (Kimberly) Dougherty of Muskego; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brothers, Bernard and William and sisters, Germaine, Rose Marie, Shirley, Katherine and Patricia. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, George, Gerald and Maurice and sisters, Marcella and Judith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1660 Endl Blvd in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church until time of service. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The Dunlap Memorial Home in Fort Atkinson is assisting the family.
