Higgins, MargaretMargaret Ann Higgins, 66, of Nekoosa, is on a new journey and re-united with the love of her life on Dec. 2, 2016.She was born on Nov. 25, 1950, in Stevens Point, to the late John and Agnes (Betro) Rutta, and was a 1969 graduate of P.J. Jacobs High School. On Oct. 14, 1972, she was married to Gary L. Higgins at St. Peter Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Gary passed away on April 2, 2005.Marge had worked at Okray Family Farms in Plover then went to work at McCains for over 20 years before retiring.She was a "Mom," "Auntie" and "Grandma" to so many. A lot of kids came through her door and she let them all into her home and heart. A lot of great memories were made in that house on Hwy. F: The "Higgins Orphanage," as it was called by many. Her love for all her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews will be cherished forever.Survivors include two daughters, Anna (Brad) Freeman of Wisconsin Rapids, and Katy (Chad) Albro of Texas; one son, Jesse Higgins of Nekoosa; 12 grandchildren, Brittany Paasch, Alyssa Higgins (Nate Borton), Kaitlyn Ott (Christopher Reinwand), Kendyl Ott (John Dozer), Kaitlin Freeman (Cody Cunningham), Demi Albro, Allan Higgins, Abigail Higgins, Gary Albro, Bradynn Freeman, Caytlen Albro and Brayonna Freemon; great-grandson, Bentlee Wenzel; three brothers, Ray (Lee) Rutta of Plover, Ervin (Donna) Rutta of Stevens Point, and James (Sally) Rutta of Plover; one sister, Loretta (James) Sankey of Stevens Point; sister-in-law, Sally (the late Ronnie) Rutta of Stevens Point; brother-in-law, Jesse A. (Ramona) Higgins Jr. of Plover; and sisters-in-law, Lila Roback and Shirley Higgins both of Plover.Marge was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Richard and Ronald; and one sister, Lorraine.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at Pisarski Community Funeral Home, 2911 Plover Rd. in Plover. Deacon Vern Linzmeier will officiate. Burial will follow in Meehan Cemetery.
