Margaret G. HamlerSOUTH ZANESVILLE: Margaret G. Hamler, 86, of South Zanesville, passed away at 10:25 a.m. Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Adams Lane Care Center with her family at her side. She was born on April 11, 1928 in Zanesville. She had worked for many years for the Village of South Zanesville and the South Zanesville Police Department. She also served two terms on the South Zanesville Village Council. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.She is survived by her son Edward (Marlene) Hamler; six grandchildren Stacey (David) Hamler Stackhouse, Bryan Hamler, Kristen (Mark) Hamler Diamond, Clint McLean, Amber McLean, and Marianne (Bill) Hall. 12 great-grandchildren; a half-sister Donna.She was preceded in death by her husband Edward B. Hamler. One daughter Shirley McLean.Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Zanesville Memorial Park. Pastor Larry Diamond officiating. William Thompson & Son Funeral Home in White Cottage is handling the arrangements.
