Margaret Ann AllenCamarillo, CAMargaret Ann Allen, 78, passed away on Thursday, January 5th, 2017 at her home in Camarillo, CA following a courageous fight against cancer.Margaret was born on January 1, 1939 in Marshfield, WI. She was the oldest of 5 children born to Emma and William Rottjer. She graduated from Wisconsin State College in 1960 and taught elementary music in Arizona, where she met her husband, Jack Allen. They married and eventually moved to Ventura County where they ran their business, Quality Water, for 25 years.She was a friend to many and had a kind and giving heart. She loved reading, sewing and all things crafty. Her family and friends will remember her many plates of baked goods at Christmas, zucchini bread and craft projects which she loved to gift. Her sewing room was her kingdom. So many projects and so little time.Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jack, and her siblings Barbara and Bill. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Jennifer (Mark), step daughter Brenda (John) and step son Jack (Amy). Her grandchildren were a special joy to her and she will be fondly remembered by Jordan, Eric, Alisa, Elliot (Carolyn), MacKenzie (Mark) and Michelle. Great grandchildren Tristan, Kaenon, Knox, Rori and Hanna. She is also survived by her sister Roberta Kingsbury, brother John Rottjer and many nieces and nephews.She will be remembered for her easy going nature, strength and positive attitude.The family wishes to thank Buena Vista Hospice and her many caregivers. A celebration of life will take place at a later undetermined date.
